The Cement & Concrete SA Western Cape Branch hosted a hybrid seminar by Dr Mo Ehsani on Innovative FRP Solutions for Repair and Strengthening of Infrastructure at the University of Cape Town.

Dr Mo Ehsani is the President of QuakeWrap Inc. and a Centennial Emeritus Professor of Structural Engineering at the University of Arizona, specialising in the repair and retrofitting of civil structures with Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) materials. The talk was sponsored by OSC Marine Group and focused on using FRP to strengthen buildings and bridges and repair corrosion-damaged structures. A review of basic design principles using FRP systems and various case studies were presented.
