YCRETS 2025

THE FUTURE OF CEMENT AND CONCRETE

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The 2025 Young Concrete, Researchers, Engineers, and Technologists Symposium (YCRETS), convened under the auspices of Cement & Concrete SA, will be the third in this series. This peer-reviewed event brings together individuals, 35 years and younger (in 2025), who work on the development, design, and application of concrete and cementitious-based materials in Southern Africa. YCRETS 2025
will be a physical event hosted at the University of Pretoria; all presentations will be done live at the venue.

You are now invited to submit an abstract for YCRETS 2025, under the overarching theme of The Future of Cement and Concrete. Participants in the previous two YCRETS events will testify to the extended exposure for all the participants. Ensuring the Future of Cement and Concrete starts with the authoritative research that can translate into innovative materials and site practices to ensure a sustainable future for this unique and versatile construction material.

Deadline: 14 October 2024

To submit an abstract (max 200 words), please e-mail it to [email protected] by 14 October 2024.
